Happy belated Turkeyday, and other stuff

Well Happy Turkeyday everyone. I still have trouble recognizing how big a deal Thanksgiving is in the US. Always surprised to see the streets empty as everyone's inside doing the family thang. We did a very low key Thanksgiving this year, no traveling or big family get togethers, just out little famdamily at home with some Hungry Man turkey dinners (yes with cranberry surprise dessert... yuk) and delicious pumpkin pie. Don't knock it, given the the lack of complications, and once you take it out of the plastic container, it's not half bad. Come on how can you go wrong with, as the box says, "Over 1lbs of food!"

And of course we had to have some pumpkin pie with whipped cream, and some Crispy Crunch crumbled on top (it's a Canadian thing).

And here is some more vids of our kids, Aubrey and Haley.

And with today being "Black Friday" when half the country loses their minds, and camped out in store parking lots all night so they can run like crazed consumer maniacs into the stores as they open at 4am grabbing at bargains and each other. So I am proud to have made it through the day only spending $6 bucks on coffee and snacks, so I think that sort of qualifies me for Adbuster's "Buy Nothing Day".

Wow...how time flys...you have much to be thankful for, including Hungry Man dinners as there is little preparation and cleanup...glad you are introducing the crispy crunch tradition....better start kicking the coffee now (caffiene anyway) as it will be difficult later...will be in Seattle in mid Dec and look forward to seeing you guys
