The 411
Hi folks-
I know it has been a while since the last post. The usual has kept me from updating all of you on our little lives. First and foremost, we are all healthy and happy (although as I type, Aubrey just bonked his head on the floor next to me, he is good though.) and we could not ask for anything more. We have now officially moved into our new home and little by little the place is coming along. it is weird as I feel as though I have lived here all along. Ashley is really enjoying the garden and I am loving the huge new kitchen. I know it is weird to say this, but I do not miss going out to eat and instead prefer to cook every night. I think it may also have to do with the fact that little Mr. Bright is getting harder and harder to entertain at a table when we are eating out. In other baby related news, Aubrey had a very bad no sleeping spell that lasted for a good 3 weeks. It was HORRIBLE!! I was at my wits end and I think I even freaked Ashley out with all my drama. It was so bad, that the only way that he would sleep, was on me after 2 hours of constant nursing. We chalked all up to growth spurt, teething, developmental milestone (crawling) and just the plain fact that our child is high maintenance. Of course, the drama could return any day now and we dont take anything for granted. After 7 months of this new little life, we have kind of just accepted the fact that we have control of very little and we might as well enjoy the ride.
On another front, I am getting all my ducks in a row for fall and am sort of excited and freaked out by going back to school. I did decide to switch to the evening program instead of the day program so I can take care of Aubrey during the day and go to school at night. It is one night a week from 6-9pm and a whole day on Saturdays from 9am-3pm. So, Ashley will be babysitting a couple of nights a week. Wish us luck. I feel good about the decision as I think it is the best thing for Aubrey and besides, day care is SO freaking EXPENSIVE -IF you are lucky to get into a place. The typical waiting period is 2 years!!
Well this is it for now- expect another update in like 4 monts. :) Well, at least Ashley is good about posting new pics all the time.
PEACE & LOVE to all :)
